Overview

We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative for our client who are distributors and support network for automated haematology and coagulation diagnostic analysers, reagents and information systems for laboratories and healthcare facilities within the UK & Ireland.

The Warehouse Operatives will assist the Warehouse Supervisor and Logistics Manager to provide current and expanding customer base an industry leading logistical service. This role requires a high level of computer literacy, using a warehouse management system as well as Microsoft products such as Word, Outlook and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick & Pack and arrange the dispatch of goods
  • Book Inbound goods and put away within the KPI target
  • Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customers timescales/requirements
  • Work with the team for stock accuracy target of 99% and traceability in the SAP ERP system
  • Follow all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company’s procedures and requirements
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Identify continuous improvements
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies as and when required, create customer invoices, complete Post Good Issue
  • Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health and Safety regulations.

Skills and experience needed to do the job:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding that sensitive and confidential information must be treated in the strictest confidential manner
  • Good time management and prioritising skills to balance demand and resource, ensuring optimum performance levels and best outcome
  • Excellent listening and acknowledgement skills
  • Team player who works harmoniously with others to get the job done and responds positively to instructions and procedures.
  • Good attention to detail
  • Self-motivator, works well in a team or individually
  • A Levels, ONC, City & Guilds level 3, BTec National Diploma Level 3, IVQ Technician Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience of working within a warehouse and distribution environment
  • SAP experience
  • Certificate of dangerous goods handling
  • Forklift Reach Truck license
  • Good IT Skills around Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Good organisational skills

37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri

Salary £27k plus 25% bonus
