This role is best suited to someone with previous experience of manufacturing in a similar role and will be CIMA qualified. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will oversee daily financial operations, supervise finance staff, and support the implementation of new, efficient systems. Responsibilities and Duties
- Management accounting: Prepare management accounts for the main trading subsidiary as well as two smaller This will include completing month end reconciliations, maintain fixed asset register, processing month end journals.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial
- Management reports: including project profitability, standard cost variance analysis, KPI’s and other reports used to monitor the achievement of budgets.

- Systems support: Take ownership of financial aspects of the ERP system (Microsoft Business Central) to assist in the improvement of financial controls and accuracy of management information.
- Cash management: Oversee the management of debtor collection and payment of suppliers, as well as taking responsibility for the operation of an invoice discounting facility.
- Staff management: Oversee and manage daily activities of the finance department including sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll.
- Compliance & Controls: Support the maintenance of strong internal financial controls. Responsible for all VAT and payroll taxes returns as well as managing the pension and other deductions.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: Contribute to special projects and provide support for various financial initiatives.
Key Competencies
- Technical Skills: Strong technical accounting skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent numeracy skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to analyse financial data and provide insights.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with Microsoft Business Central.
- Communication: Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal departments, external stakeholders, and senior management.
